PROJECT
Illuminating Objects
Objects in museum spaces are often far removed from their original cultures, contexts and uses. This series attempts to utilise art as a tool to unveil and question the biases and contexts underpinning our understanding of museum objects as visitors, bridging the gap between ethnography and contemporary art practice.

PROJECT
People, Space and Place
People are often unaware of the influence that spaces, particular institutional spaces, have on their physicality. This series attempts to use ethnography to first observe people's movements and actions in these spaces, before then revealing these subconscious actions through performance art, photography and sketching.

PROJECT
Illuminating Culture: Light and atmosphere in museum spaces
Building on the work completed at the Pitt Rivers Museum for my MSc dissertation, this series utilises art as a tool to question the constructed nature of museum spaces themselves, particularly in regards to how light and atmosphere communicate things such as dominant narratives, ideologies and/or stereotypes to museum-going audiences. Work for this is completed using a mix of participant observation, photography, sketching and participant interviews.
